FSTR Performance SA 26.2
The FSTR Performance SA 26.2 is a 20 week program built for runners preparing for the San Antonio Marathon on December 6, 2026. 4 days a week with an optional 5th easy run.
This is not a PDF. This is a live dynamic training program that lives on your phone and syncs directly to your Garmin or training watch. Because this is a dynamic program the plan can be adjusted and modified in real time based on how our community is responding throughout the 20 weeks. You also have direct access to me for any questions or support you need along the way.
This program is built on Jack Daniels training philosophy and research backed frameworks in distance running. Every session has a specific physiological purpose. The program uses four training intensities — easy running for aerobic foundation, marathon pace work to make race effort feel automatic, threshold work to raise your lactate threshold, and interval work to raise your VO2 max ceiling. 80% of your volume is easy. 20% is purposeful quality work.
This program places a great emphasis on recovery and injury prevention through deliberate load management. Mileage builds progressively with four built in deload weeks that intentionally drop volume so your body can absorb the training and come back stronger. That cycle of build and recover is what keeps you healthy across 20 weeks and what most marathon plans completely ignore.
This program builds up to 20 miles with progression runs in weeks 13 and 16 that finish at marathon pace on already tired legs which simulates the exact miles where most marathoners fall apart.
What you get:
20 week dynamic training program delivered through TrainingPeaks
Monday Wednesday Friday Sunday schedule with an optional Tuesday easy run
